Santander Slash Dumaguete

Last April, I was invited for a road trip going to Dumaguete. I was excited because of course it's something out-of-Cebu. Another province to visit. For us to reach there, we choose the via-Santander option. That's a town on the southern tip of Cebu. Before we started wheeling, I was already catching up with my never-been-seen-for-weeks friends. It took us hours chatting and catching up as if we've never seen each other for months. haha. It was a long, long more or less a three-hour ride.

Some of our friends arrived earlier than us so they already had prepared overnight paraphernalia (pillow, chichirias, etc). When we arrived, we set the tent and made bonfire at the seashore. We were just chatting and playing card games for hours until we realized there was already diffusion of soft glowing light through the atmosphere. The sun was about to rise na pala! We decided to go swimming. A very early swim! After that, we prepared ourselves for our trip to Dumaguete. Yes, no sleep nor naps. Our eyes felt so heavy.

We had a twenty-minute ferry ride. Upon reaching the city of smiles, we choose to just walk around. No tricylce para mas feel ang place. Anyway the city is pedestrian-friendly.

We still plan to go somewhere but some of us were already having a quick nap in one of the benches in Silliman University. Team walang tulog! So we decided to immediately go to the delicacy shop and prepare ourselves for another trip back to Santander and for another long, long trip back to the city.

Sunny day. City tour. Hearty meals. Hoping for more road trips to come! Next time, with tulog na. :)
